With the temperature monitor, did it monitor your video card as well? The motherboard temperature can still be relatively cool while other components may be getting toasty. Also, did you check the temperatures while Guild Wars was actually running or just while your computer was idle? In about 90% of the cases where a computer shuts down/reboots/locks up while running GW it's because of overheating, and I'm betting that's the case here, though I could be wrong. See if you can't find out the temperature of your video card-- if it's overheating the issue may be resolved by simply cleaning out any dust and increasing airflow.
I'd keep an eye on that power supply too, I could definately see that becoming a problem.

I'd suggest checking the video card temp too. I'm not sure if the Nvidia driver set includes this, I had to find a 3rd party tool to control the fan on my ATi card. Best bet would be to google around for one, I know there was one I used on my GF4Ti card a few years ago.

A quick google came up with this http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility_1.0.html
Obviously have a good read through to make sure it applies to you. If it is a temp issue, see if you can up your fan speeds.
